TREATMENT APPROACHES

In my Christian therapy practice, I utilize a range of evidence-based treatment approaches that are thoughtfully integrated with faith-based principles to support your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Each method is tailored to meet your individual needs, drawing from trusted therapeutic models.  Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or spiritual struggles, our approach seeks to honor both psychological insight and biblical truth, helping you find healing, hope, and renewed purpose through God’s grace.

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) focuses on helping individuals process deep emotional experiences by creating a safe, healing environment for them to access and transform painful emotions quickly. It integrates experiential and dynamic techniques to foster rapid emotional breakthroughs and lasting change.

  • Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy centers on the idea that early relationships with caregivers shape emotional development, influencing one's ability to form healthy connections throughout life. The approach focuses on strengthening emotional bonds and addressing unresolved attachment wounds.

  • Christian Counseling

Christian Counseling integrates biblical principles with therapeutic practices to help individuals navigate life’s challenges while strengthening their spiritual and emotional well-being. It emphasizes healing, personal growth, and alignment with Christian faith.

  • EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic technique used to help individuals process traumatic memories by using guided eye movements to reframe negative thoughts. It’s highly effective in reducing the emotional distress associated with traumatic events.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term therapy that helps individuals and couples identify and address emotional patterns that hinder their relationships. The goal is to foster secure emotional bonds and improve communication.

  • Mindfulness-Based

Mindfulness-Based Therapy encourages individuals to focus on the present moment and develop awareness of their thoughts and emotions without judgment. It enhances emotional regulation, reduces stress, and promotes mental clarity.

  • Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered counseling approach designed to help individuals find the motivation to make positive behavior changes. It emphasizes collaboration, evoking the client’s intrinsic desire for change, and resolving ambivalence.

  • Multicultural Psychology

Multicultural Psychology explores how cultural contexts shape human behavior, identity, and mental health. It emphasizes understanding and respecting cultural diversity in both the therapeutic process and in the individual’s lived experience.

  • Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology focuses on enhancing well-being, personal strengths, and overall life satisfaction. It encourages individuals to cultivate positive emotions, resilience, and meaning in their lives.

  • Trauma Focused (CBT)

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals, especially children and adolescents, process and cope with trauma. It blends cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive approaches to promote healing.
